INTRODUCING SOMETHING NEW!
Family/Intergenerational faith events!
This year, we are introducing PEOPLE OF FAITH: GENERATIONS LEARNING TOGETHER.
- People of Faith provides event-centered, intergenerational catechetical programs for all ages and generations in the parish.
- Intergenerational learning builds the community and meaningful relationships throughout the parish, allowing generations to share and learn from each other
- People of Faith provides an environment where new ways of living ones faith can be practiced
- People of Faith promotes understanding of shared values and a common faith, as well as respect for individuals in all stages and ages of life, and helps to overcome the age-segregated nature of our society and church programs
- People of Faith materials are published by the same company that publishes our new Kindergarten through Grade 6 program
Two PEOPLE OF FAITH: GENERATIONS LEARNING TOGETHER events will be held this year (2008-09)
- Wednesday, November 12, 6:30 pm: ADVENT
Come and learn about Advent, participate in Advent-themed prayer and
activities, and take home ideas to celebrate this special season and
prepare for Christmas
- Wednesday, February 18, 6:30 pm: LENT
Similar to the Advent event but with a Lenten theme; a great way to draw more meaning from the season of Lent and prepare for a joyous celebration of Easter!
As always, volunteers are needed to become part of the People of Faith team. If you are interested in helping prepare and facilitate these exciting events, please contact Barb. This is a wonderful way to continue to grow in your faith!
